Year 10 Holland Trip
In November a group of 20 students from year 10 had the opportunity to take part in an exchange programme with a school in Holland. Van Lodenstein college is a rural secondary school in the centre of Holland about one hours drive from Amsterdam.
The students experienced the lives of Dutch students, living with them in their homes and attending their school. They also went on excursions to Amsterdam and Rotterdam and spent the evenings with their host families. Brayan in year 10 said ‘my host family were really nice and did everything they could to make me feel welcome.’
Battersea Park School is hoping to keep this link strong by inviting the Dutch school to London in September 2011 and are looking to recruit host families. If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity – please contact Miss. Parsons.
Students enjoyed every moment and did not want to leave. Katie in year 10 said ‘it was a brilliant experience and I want to go again!’
