In November, top chef Tom Aikens came to Battersea Park School to give 15 Year 8 students a cooking lesson after winning a competition. He is a top chef who is often on TV, on programmes such as Market Kitchen and Saturday Kitchen.  He has also got a Michelin star; the best award a chef can be given.
Tom made an amazing pumpkin and sage risotto and chocolate mousse. The students were absolutely OUTSTANDING- so much that they said it was the best school they had visited yet and have invited the same group of students to a food festival in the summer at Earl’s court.
