What is a BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma?

A BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma is a practical, work-related course.  Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

It introduces them to the employment area they have chosen and provides a good basis to go on to a more advanced work-related qualification.

A BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma is equivalent to one A2 grade A*-C and is normally taken as a full time course over two years.

What units will I study?

Students will study key units including Research, Pre-Production, Understanding the Television and Film Industries and four other specialist units.

How is the course assessed?

Students will be assessed at the end of each term for each unit.  Reaching specific grading criteria will determine what grade they will get.

Equipment:

Writing equipment as listed in school prospectus.

Uniform:

Students should wear appropriate clothing for the work you are doing.
