ALL WATERPROOF clothing including walking boots, rucksacks, and sleeping bags ect will be provided by Outward Bound. 

A £10 deposit is collected and held against loss or damage to the equipment.  (It will be returned back to you after the cours

 

  • 2 pairs of training shoes, one pair will get wet!
  • 2 or 3 pairs of warm trousers, tracksuit bottoms are fine.  Jeans are inadvisable as denim gets very heavy and cold when wert and does not dry easily, making it unsuitable for hill walking. (However they are ideal for wear around the centre.)
  • Woollen jumpers.  Fleece top or sweatshirts.
  • At least 3 shirts or T-shirts, long sleeved are best in winter.
  • Underwear, including a large supply of socks. 
  • Several long thick woollen pairs will be needed for wearing with walking boots. 
  • Pyjamas or similar.
  • Swimwear.
  • Shorts, especially useful in summer.
  • At least 2 towels.
  • Personal toiletries
  • Woollen gloves, hat (that covers the ears) and scarf.
  • Insect repellent.
  • Pen and pencil.
  • Optional items:  flip-flops or sandals, camera, sunglasses, sun hat, torch.
