Homework:

Homework is set twice a week to both consolidate and build on the learning in class. Students will also be giving maths projects to work on and make presentations in class. Homework is also set on ‘Mymaths’ and ‘Mangahigh’ websites where students have log in access.

Equipment requirements/recommended texts:

All students must have a pen, pencil, rubber, ruler, pen, protractor and compasses. It is also essential that a scientific calculator is brought to every lesson. Pupils will be given a textbook to complete homework tasks from, and for further practice the BBC Bitesize website is recommended:

www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/maths

Students can also get a Mathswatch CD from the department.
